Recognizing the necessity of aesthetics as an everyday experience, the studio aims to generate a new eclectic language that combines function and sustainability into a new minimalism through the interaction between materials, light transmission, refraction and reflection.
The design concept of the Aluminimum limited edition collection is the pursuit of simplicity, from the choice of materials up to the production and manufacturing processes. The objects are made in aluminium, mixed with copper, glass or PMMA. Light and resistant, the collection is designed for both indoors and outdoors, and suitable for every style. Each object is fully recyclable and composed of few pieces, easy to assemble and to transport. Every project comes out from a deep study of materials and their properties, and it’s realised with prime quality materials and highly skilled craftsmanship.
The collection is composed of two sections, each reflecting a different approach to the production process.
Section A, characterized by geometrical shapes and taut lines, is realised in collaboration with highly skilled local artisans and explores the potential of aluminum as construction material by taking advantage from both its mechanical and aesthetic aspects. The smooth surfaces are left natural to enhance the materiality, the signs of the crafting and assembling process are deliberately visible, transformed into a pivotal element of the objects.
Section B, less geometric and more sculptural, is entirely created by the designer and characterised by round shapes and irregular surfaces. Thin and light plates of raw aluminium are hand curved by the designer that, operating as a sculptor, creates artistic and functional objects made to stimulate creative imagination and needs.
